Scenes, People, Kadooment. “Kadooment” is the local name for Barbados’ carnival style celebration. It was first introduced as a feature to extol the end of the sugar cane cutting season … but that origin seems to have dwindled and nowadays it’s more or less a grand party…. This is how this video happened ~ there was a confluence of factors ~ 1. a “student” questioned me to place up some pics of Barbados after seeing an earlier video with me surfing Groovy, my surf kayak. 2. Another questioned me to do a Willie Nelson song! … Then, 3. when I was at my dentist yesterday I heard Fernando coming over the music system and thought – hey! that’s a really cool song … should sound irie on a harp! ~ So I just went right ahead and did the video! On second thought, had I cogitated on it ~ to keep things tropical … I could have played ‘Gorgeous Barbados’ and ‘Island in the Sun!’ Anyhow … there’s always a Volume Two that can follow … sometime!
