What are the issues surrounding the Guyanese immigrants in Barbados?

I have been hearing only bits and pieces of this tale over the last year or so. Is there a problem with Guyanese nationals working in Barbados? And if there is why?

The tale is that the Barbadians are worried of the large influx of Guyanese into the Barbados and the changing face of crime.

The Prime Minister is just concerned about the immigration policies of the country since the last administration made it simple for non-nationals to enter when they were in office. They were working on his house when it was building.
The present Prime Minister is asking all documented workers to regularize their status by year-end providing they have been here before December 31, 2005 and have been here for eight years or more. The rest will be deported if they do not come forward.
Some of them are frightened and have gone to Norman Farrier who is the Guyana’s Honorary Consul to Barbados.
Generally, some Guyanese do not return home and there are many here. I personally do not have a problem with them and I have many of them as friends. More than half of my church congregation are Guyanese.
They certainly do some jobs that some Barbadians do not want to do. Some of them might not necessarily work cheaper s some command the going rate for a day as a mason. One of them gave my daughter a quotation for building a house and it was not the cheapest.
The problem is that money talks because some people that have been reported has till come back here. Some have come back like they have never been here before with new names.
Issue – They are infesting our lovely island Barbados.
Solution – Deport em i say!!!!

Any way the problem concernign the guyannese(only the illegal ones) is that the illegal ones are coming and using up all the rescoures in Barbados for example the Polyclinic rescourses. They come here illigally and dont pay tax nor anything of the sort so in real fact we are supporting them and they are doing nothing for us but burden us by using up all we have and then making the government of Barbados spend more than would normally be spent if they didnt do the things they do.
The thing is too that the guyannses come here and offer to do jobs for less than the Bajan would charge and they do poor jobs because mnay arent trained they just copy what they see others do and then dont do it right and it had the construction workers calling in on the calling programs a few years back(i remeber very well).
I reckon though that it isnt only the Guyannese but probebrly you have to start soem where and he chose to start with them first.
In the end nothing can really be done cuz they too smart and deport them today and they send their family tomorrow or week after to do the same thing so then what is the real solution?
